So came back from Africa on the Tuesday morning, Friday morning I was off again to a scout camp to go fix broken and ill Scouts.
I wasn't there for long so this probably won't be a very long post but it was an awesome few days.
i did 4 shifts, 3 in the Medical Centre and one on the ambulance. Working alongside one of the best scouting medical teams meant that in this week i learnt a lot more than i already knew. The onsite doctor was brilliant for explaining that he was doing in simple language a run of the mill, young first aider, like myself, can understand.
My last shift was on the onsite ambulance and in all we got 3 calls so in all quite a quiet shift.
My last day there was knackering, i ended up doing 2 shifts back to back making it a 16 hour shift before leaving for cadet annual camp on the 3rd.
All in all a brilliant week to follow on from Africa
